ABOUT ME
When I moved to New York City at 18, I had just quit competitive dancing and for the first time in my life, I had absolutely no idea how to exercise. I spent my freshman year of college getting increasingly frustrated with my lack of routine. I eventually joined a yoga studio but found that the practice just wasn't my style. The gym in my dorm scared me and running is just simply not for me. Over the next couple of years, I went from workout class to workout class just going through the motions because exercising felt like something I just HAD to do. Until I took my first reformer Pilates class.
Something about Pilates just clicked with me. It was challenging, restorative, and meditative all at once. I started working at the front desk of a studio so I could take as many classes as possible and eventually enrolled in a comprehensive Pilates Instructor training program. I began teaching my first reformer Pilates classes in 2018 and have been teaching ever since.
Whether I'm teaching a group class or a private client, I aim to create the kind of environment that made me fall in love with Pilates in the first place. I emphasize good form, challenging yourself while staying realistic, and progressive overload, while also educating about other pillars of wellness like sleep, nutrition, stress, and mental well-being.
Being able to do this and work with amazing people every day is the most fulfilling thing in the world to me and I'm hoping to empower many more to find their inner and outer strength.
